This is our mid-level position within the Fitness Team. To be considered, you will need a valid First Aid certificate and the following qualifications:

A Neilson holiday would only be complete with dedicated fitness professionals. Our Fitness Instructors must be passionate about fitness, energetic, friendly, and happy to work independently.

You will need group session instructional experience and a high level of personal fitness as you will regularly guide 5km runs and lead 4-6 classes daily. You will deliver a varied weekly programme that is always safe, fun, and precisely tailored to your guests.

You will interact with individuals from all walks of life at varying fitness levels, enabling you to inspire and continually expand your personal fitness experience.

You will create your sessions around the facilities and equipment available in the resort and draw upon your skills, knowledge, and training.

FIRST AID REQUIREMENTS

A First Aid certificate is a prerequisite for ALL Neilson Active job roles. Your certificate MUST be valid for the duration of your contract, which we will validate as part of your onboarding process. At a minimum, your First Aid Course MUST be an attended full-day practical course.

We also encourage anyone working closely with children to consider obtaining their Paediatric First Aid at Work certificate; however, this is not an obligation for the job.

Skibound - Sous Chef 25/26 - France

A winter season with Skibound is like no other. With over 40 years’ experience in the industry, we offer a unique ski experience to budding skiers from all over the world with school and youth groups at the heart of our business. You will be based at one of our 3 lively club hotels across 3 resorts in the French Alps, home to some of Europe’s best skiing and après - Alpe d’Huez, Les Menuires and Serre Chevalier.

What will I be doing as a Sous Chef?

At Skibound, we offer our school guests a set menu over the course of their stay, with cold buffet options available for breakfast, a buffet style lunch with anything from soups, salads, jacket potatoes, marinated chicken wings and build-your-own-sandwiches and a 2 course sit down evening meal. Our food caters to a younger palette and a more advanced menu for our adult guests.

In our Skilt clubhotel in Les Menuires, we also operate a busy bar and restaurant for any holiday makers in the resort. The Skilt is one of the busiest and most popular establishments in the entire resort as it is placed right at the bottom of one of the most popular pistes. This is an a la carte menu operating from lunchtime to dinner service. Our menu is perfect for hungry skiers looking for a quick bite to eat or a more sophisticated meal in the evening, from Croque Monsieur and pasta dishes at lunchtime to tuna niçoise salad and high-quality steak at dinnertime.

As a Sous Chef with Skibound you will be second in command to the Head Chef of the Skilt clubhotel and restaurant in Les Menuires. You will be happy to take direction and work collaboratively with your Head Chef as well as showing confidence in leading the kitchen brigade when needed.

This is a very hands-on role and includes cooking alongside your team, as well as managing stock control and reviewing health and safety standards across the kitchen. Working in the mountains is an experience like no other, we will provide you with training on how things are done in a French kitchen!

You will be passionate about food and relish feedback you receive from happy and full guests. You and your team will also be responsible for providing delicious staff meals to keep the clubhotel team motivated throughout the season.

You will learn from your Head Chef but also be happy to share your own experiences and knowledge with more junior members of the team. You will be approachable so your team can come to you for help in the kitchen and you will also support the Head Chef and Hotel Manager in solving any issues with your kitchen team.

COMMISSION

Neilson Tennis Coaches will earn individual commission on private lessons, re-grips, and re-strings. The team splits commission earned from Super drills and any booked premium packages.

OUR TENNIS PROGRAMME INCLUDES:

Private Coaching: Guests can book private sessions with our coaches. This individual attention will further develop their skills and iron out any kinks in their game.

Premium Tennis: Premium Tennis is for regular players looking for intensive coaching. These sessions run for two hours daily with groups of up to eight.

Tennis for Juniors &amp; Teens: Kids aged between six and seventeen will take part in our specific Junior/Teen Tennis programme. These sessions run two to four times per week in peak season.

Tennis for kids: Children as young as two will get an introduction to tennis with our coaches as part of the Kid's Club programme. These sessions include plenty of tennis-based games to keep the kids smiling.

Tennis weeks with Mark Petchey: Throughout the season, Mark Petchey will host exclusive Tennis weeks, giving our guests a chance to gain top tips and hit a few balls with the man himself.

FIRST AID REQUIREMENTS

A First Aid certificate is a prerequisite for ALL Neilson Active job roles. Your certificate MUST be valid for the duration of your contract, which we will validate as part of your onboarding process. At a minimum, your First Aid Course MUST be an attended full-day practical course.

We also encourage anyone working closely with children to consider obtaining their Paediatric First Aid at Work certificate; however, this is not an obligation for the job.

Yacht Instructor is a qualified position, so we can only consider applicants holding an RYA Cruising Instructor qualification or above.

If you're an experienced RYA Instructor, great! If you're a newly qualified Instructor, no problem. We'll provide all the additional training required to run our RYA training courses.

Happy interacting with our guests, locals, and other team members, you will manage all aspects of delivering the RYA Training to the highest standards. You will be motivated by a challenge and ready to deal with any problems, albeit at sea or back at base.
