Job Description
The Head of Finance – International FP&A reports directly to the Director of Finance, International FP&A, and is part of the International FP&A team. This role will partner and support the European Technology function, the fastest growing function in Europe.
You’ll directly business partner the VP – Chief Information Officer Europe and other European Technology leaders in supporting the European Operating Model as well as leading the European Technology FP&A team, a new and fast-growing team, managing at least one individual initially in order to drive forward the new operating model in Europe. You can expect full autonomy to drive standardisation and automation across several teams and markets in Europe.
The successful candidate will be required to travel and work in the Covent Garden, London office once per week to meet with key stakeholders, so flexibility is required.
The role is responsible for:
- Partnering with the VP CIO Europe and Technology leaders to evaluate and challenge business cases, ensuring projects deliver value.
- Implement and drive standardisation across several European markets.
- Lead accurate reporting and forecasting of European Technology spend, with accountability to Group reporting.
- Support the rollout of our North Star tools across Technology, driving consistency and efficiency.
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments while keeping the European Operating Model on track.
- Champion better ways of working — building smarter reporting templates, automation, and processes that scale.
- Preparing and reviewing business cases for European Technology projects and accurate reporting of costs against approval limits.
Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies:
The successful candidate will hold ACA/ACCA qualification with previous FP&A experience in a multi business unit, multi-national environment. Strong Excel modelling skills with experience creating, from scratch, user-friendly templates and processes that facilitate meaningful reporting, analysis and forecasting is required as well as an excellent attention to detail. A forward thinker, with the ability to quickly understand and find practical solutions to complex problems as they arise whilst operating with a strong commercial mind-set and understanding of business. You’ll be a strong communicator, able to present information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, including C-Level Executives and build effective stakeholder relationships, both with the wider Finance team globally and throughout the business. Previous experience working autonomously, problem solving and presenting solutions is essential.
