Sysco are currently recruiting a people-centric, engaging HR Partner to join our fantastic depot team in Warrington.

As a HR Partner you will be responsible for driving improvements in employee engagement, retention, and attendance, while ensuring a high-quality HR service across your designated sites. You will provide expert HR guidance, coaching, and support to key stakeholders, help shape a positive and productive work environment. Using data-driven insights, you'll identify challenges and opportunities, delivering people-focused initiatives that support change, enhance capability, and boost business performance. Working in close partnership with site leaders, you'll ensure alignment on shared goals and contribute to the overall success of the business.

This role includes responsibility for our Bodelwyddan and Wigan sites, so regular travel to these locations is required. There will need to be some flexibility with working hours at times due to the operation running 24/7, although for the most part you will work standard office hours.

Key Accountabilities;

  • Deliver the local People Plan in alignment with the wider HR strategy and business needs.
  • Partner with and coach leaders to drive effective people management aligned to business goals.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle by collaborating with HR centres of expertise (e.g. Resourcing, L&D, HR Ops, ER).
  • Embed talent and development programmes; measure success through KPIs.
  • Facilitate talent management and succession planning to strengthen pipelines and improve retention.
  • Ensure managers are trained and supported to lead and develop their teams effectively.
  • Use people data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, driving evidence-based decisions.
  • Support complex ER cases, ensuring fair and consistent handling.
  • Proactively manage retention and absence through data analysis and targeted action plans.
  • Lead or support the roll-out of change and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure a consistent and engaging onboarding experience for new hires and managers.
  • Conduct benchmarking to maintain local market competitiveness.
  • Manage the HR & Payroll Administrator, ensuring compliance with HR processes and GDPR.
  • Support leadership recruitment to ensure high-quality, capable hires.
  • Champion colleague wellbeing and embed it into day-to-day practices.
  • Deliver key projects aligned to the People Plan.

You;

You’ll have sound and up to date knowledge of employment law and legislation to effectively manage and resolve complex ER cases. Strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy as well as excellent analytical skills are essential, as is experience of facilitating change and a strong understanding of the concepts and challenges of change management. You’ll either be CIPD qualified (level 5), currently working towards this or qualified by experience and ready to do your qualification. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to positively influence whilst building strong working relationships with the site management team and wider stakeholder groups. This is a great role for a HR professional looking to gain exposure and develop their Partnering skills in a fast-moving, HR generalist role supporting engagement, absence management, ER Matters, coaching and development and recruitment.
