Electrical Technician

Why This Role Matters Our Electrical Power &amp; Cooling Engineers are at the heart of keeping BT's networks operating 24/7 365 days a year. Utilising their expertise and knowledge in both Low and High Voltage systems, generators, emergency lighting, cooling, alarms and UPS they ensure that the BT estate continues to work no matter the circumstances. Working with their experienced teams within our exchange buildings as well as other environments, including radio sites, rooftops and outdoors, they are required to support the variety of electrical power systems and cooling equipment that ensures our networks keep the UKs internet working. Vital in supporting us in meeting strict SLAs they utilise their variety of skills, taking ownership of their patches and coaching those around them. A comprehensive technical training pathway is assigned to cover the maintenance activities required in the role, this will be a mixture of face to face, virtual, internal and external delivery methods and may involve some overnight stays and travel. As part of the role you will be required to contribute to out of hours callout by joining a Formal On Call Framework (commonly a 1 in 4 attendance with a varied requirement subject to local/geographical nuances) to support 24x7 service as needed by the business. This will be agreed towards the completion of the training journey. A full UK manual drivers licence is needed for this role. You can be based in one of our UK or Ireland offices whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. You will be a key player in delivering impactful water projects across the UK and internationally. We enable the development of significant flood alleviation schemes, pollution reduction, and infrastructure projects, and this variety will be fundamental to your continuous professional growth. As an industry leader in Blue-Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions, we work with both public and private sector clients such as Severn Trent, Anglian Water, Northern Ireland Water, the Environment Agency, LLFAs and other infrastructure providers. We deliver Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Outline Business Cases, hydraulic models, and detailed designs. Senior Wastewater Modeller

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. This is an essential part of MBDA's complex weapon programmes, allowing us to game any mission on the ground with or without real hardware, and work with our Customers and Suppliers towards the next generation EO and multi-sensor missile seekers and weapon system sensors. And this is where you come in... If you are the successful applicant, we will offer you the exciting challenge of developing real-world simulations and modelling tools that are a critical part of MBDA's product development. Our team is a small, multi-disciplinary team that support a range of scene generation activities, from synthetic modelling of real world objects and the Earth's surface, through to hardware testing and validation via experimentation and field trials. We use a variety of different software development and modelling tools, and we will support to you and hands on training to get you up to speed as quick as possible. However, we are always looking to broaden and evolve our toolset, to continue to deliver an industry-leading capability ready for future programme needs; joining the team now offers the chance for you to deliver current programmes and shape the future of the team and the company. What we're looking for from you: Someone enthusiastic about software engineering and the development of physical models of the real world and how an EO Sensor perceives it.
