Senior Authorised Person

<h3>Description</h3><br>
<strong>Our Role<br></strong><br>
We are looking for experienced Overhead Line Chargehands to join our teams working on our UKPN contract. The Chargehand Linesperson will be the responsible party for leading teams of 2- or 3-person teams in the erection of poles, changing transformers and carry out any other overhead line work that may be required.<br><br>
We have secured a 5 year contract with UK Power Networks, providing support across their ED2 Distribution Network Programme. We will be providing services across all distribution assets, including overhead lines, underground cabling and substations on LV, 11kV, and 33kV networks. From the 1st April 2023, our teams will be working across the southwest Chilterns, Borehamwood and the Bedford/Cambridge area.<br><br>
<br><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><br>We are looking for someone to:<br><br>
<ul>
<li>Carrying out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of UK Power Networks.</li>
<li>Install, build and refurbish overhead lines up to 33kV.</li>
<li>Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments.</li>
<li>Liaise with Site Supervisors regarding and specific site issues.</li>

<li>Hold a valid EUSR or CSCS Card</li>

Linesperson

<h3>Description</h3><br>As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for driving efficiencies; managing costs and regional performance for our clients. This role will see you take control of all financial aspects of the project; overseeing all commercial &amp; contractual matters. You will deliver desired margin return utilising high standards of commercial acumen. Whilst identifying, recording and tracking, both risks and opportunities.<br><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><br>We are looking for someone to:&nbsp;<ul>
<li>Manage the contract performance including weekly P&amp;L reporting</li>
<li>&nbsp;Review contract documents and mitigate any issues</li>
<li>&nbsp;Control the progress and cash flow forecast information</li>
<li>&nbsp;Manage commercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs) and Project Finance Reports</li>
<li>&nbsp;Take responsibility for Subcontractor Management; including Subcontract Forecasting, raising Subcontractor Orders and Negotiating Subcontract terms</li>
<li>Prepare subcontract documents, enquiries and assessment of quotations</li>
<li>Oversee subcontract orders, agreement and certification of subcontract valuations, invoice, subcontract payments and final account agreements</li>
<li>&nbsp;Be responsible for the management of the change control process, risk and value management</li>
<li>&nbsp;Manage and track project changes, variations and/or notices</li>
<li>Assess and value variations and compensation events</li>
<li>&nbsp;Prepare and submit interim valuations and payment applications to clients, along with the agreement of final accounts</li>
<li>&nbsp;Attend risk review, progress and commercial meetings on-site with the Client</li>
<li>&nbsp;Be actively involved with tenders and pricing</li>
<li>&nbsp;Oversee Credit Control with cash recovery and forecasting</li>
<li>&nbsp;Support the operational team in daily commercial and contractual aspects</li>
</ul><br><h3>Experience and Qualifications</h3><br><ul>
<li>Degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable but not essential</li>
<li>NEC4 experience preferable.</li>
<li>Ideally you will have experience working in the Utilities industry &nbsp;</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of contracts – NEC preferred</li>
<li>Ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and work under tight time pressures</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills&nbsp;</li>
