What you’ll be doing:

Conducting analysis and evaluation of submarine platforms manoeuvring performance from concept design to in-service support
</li>

Undertaking development, verification and validation of mathematical manoeuvring model using physical model test data
</li>

Generation of Safe Manoeuvring Envelopes and supporting associated operator guidance
</li>
<li>
You will be working with enterprise partners to develop the modelling capability, processes and toolsets for use to support our major programmes

Working collaboratively with other naval architecture teams, systems teams, Active Vehicle Control system teams and propulsion engineers as well as customers and suppliers to deliver innovative &amp; safe submarine solutions

Supporting &amp; conducting hydrodynamic sea trials such as depth and heading control, including test form development and post-trial data analysis

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:

Experience in the generation of ship or submarine manoeuvring modelling

Advanced numeracy and analytical skills

A strong understanding of hydrodynamic principles and methods

The Vehicle Control team:
As a Principal/Senior Naval Architect within the Vehicle Control team, you will be working alongside a team of experts within Naval Architecture and the Whole Boat Design Team in one of the largest and fastest growing Naval Architecture Departments in the UK. You will be working on some of the most complex ship design and build programmes ever undertaken to deliver cutting edge submarines to the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy. Principal Naval Architect

At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.

<li>This role will involve providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision</li>
<li>These young people are referred to us by local authorities and schools and will require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey</li>
<li>If selected, your role will be to provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring</li>
</ul>
<h3>SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:</h3>

<li>Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring</li>
<li>Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey</li>
