What you’ll be doing:
<ul>
<li>Generate systems models such as functional, logical and interface models for 12+ major C&amp;I systems including Distributed Control Systems, Control Console and Vehicle Control Systems</li>
<li>Work closely with the system owners providing dynamic challenge on the systems design, to drive simplification within the design</li>
<li>Support the wider C&amp;I design for several C&amp;I sub-systems for Secondary Propulsion, Platform Mechanical and Platform Electrical</li>
<li>Manage various systems modelling/engineering stakeholders to provide consistency across the Centralised C&amp;I team</li>
<li>Support the development of a functional design for the systems within scope for Centralised C&amp;I</li>

Essentials:

<li>C&amp;I domain working experience</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience in working with multi-discipline teams</li>
<li>Experience of requirements management for similar regulated industries such as defence, Oil and Gas, and Nuclear</li>

Desirable:

<li>Proven use of Systems Engineering toolsets such as CAMEO, Enterprise Architect and DOORs</li>

Job Title: Senior Engineer – Operability

What you’ll be doing:

<li>Reviewing/assessing the developing SSN-AUKUS Submarine design to ensure it is safe, operable, and habitable by its crew. This will be achieved through attendance at design reviews, review of the 3D CAD model, review of design documentation, participation in experimental design and user trials, and provision of design guidance and sharing of SQEP knowledge</li>
<li>Providing specialist support to safety activities e.g., HAZID, HAZOPS, ALARP Optioneering workshops</li>
<li>Offering specialist support to Operating Documentation Production Authority in support of OPDOC derivation and verification</li>
</ul>
Your skills and experiences:
<ul>

The AR&amp;M and Supportability Team
You will join a growing team of 13 individuals based across our sites at Brough, Filton and Barrow tasked with AR&amp;M analysis and creating case reports against combat systems. This team completes their own AR&amp;M analysis and produces their own reports and calculations to ensure the availability targets are being met for the systems of the submarine. There is a lot of collaboration and engagement required as part of this role therefore you will have the opportunity to liaise with a range of stakeholders from the MOD, Dreadnought Alliance system owners/designers, as well as external suppliers at design reviews and also the Combat Systems senior managers. Joining this team allows you to influence the design of the Dreadnought platform from a Combat Systems perspective as well mentor and coach new members of the team to support the capability further.
