NES Fircroft&nbsp;are recruiting a Project Manager with experience leading FEED / Design projects across the heavy engineering industries. Our client is a multi-discipline engineering design and construction company based in Thornaby. Outside IR35 contract Mon-Fri 37.5hrs. Thornaby Office 6 month duration&nbsp; Role and Reponsibilities:&nbsp; <ul><li>Responsible for the Engineering, Procurement &amp; Construction Management (EPCM) as applicable aspects of the Project.</li><li>Conducting Contract Review and Project Start Meetings.</li><li>Producing and Maintaining the Project Quality Plan Producing and Maintaining the Project Programme Responsible for compliance with specified standards, statutory requirements and procedures.</li><li>Responsible for Contract Management linked to client&nbsp;Scope of Works.</li><li>Inter discipline, Client &amp; Vendor Engineering Co-ordination &amp; Liaison.</li><li>Organising &amp; chairing 30%, 60% &amp; 90% model reviews, minuting &amp; ensuring actions are closed out.</li><li>Attending Design Stage 1, 2 &amp; 3 risk reviews &amp; ensuring actions are closed out.</li><li>Attending Project Risk Reviews Ensuring compliance by client&nbsp;to the requirements of CDM Regulations for the project.</li><li>Liaising with Principal Engineers to ensure the correct resources are allocated as per the agreed manning histogram.</li><li>Controlling engineering output (deliverables) against the agreed scope of work &amp; ensuring delivery as per the project programme.</li><li>Controlling discipline man hours estimate for Scope of Works to ensure working within budget.</li><li>Controlling Project Total Installed Cost as applicable to contract scope.</li><li>Endorsing weekly engineering timesheets, ensuring weekly progress reporting is completed in a timely manner and reviewing engineering progress reports prior to issue.</li><li>Control and coordination of scope changes, against base estimates and programme in accordance with contract timeframes.</li><li>Compiling weekly &amp; monthly project progress reports.</li><li>Working to the project quality plan &amp; IMS procedures.</li></ul>Qualifications and Required Experience <ul><li>Must have engineering experience leading multidiscipline design projects.</li><li>Chartered Engineer status/degree or equivalent in any Engineering subject or technical ability&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive experience in industry including management and control of large scale projects.</li><li>Knowledge of current HSE Legislation and Regulations.</li></ul> With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Chemicals, Construction &amp; Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and&nbsp;Manufacturing&nbsp;sectors worldwide. The team is responsible for delivery of design services across our markets of Water Infrastructure, Defence Infrastructure, Nuclear, Aviation, Energy, Rail (stations), and Urban Developments. We have an exciting vacancy and are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Project Manager to join our North, Scotland, and Northern Ireland (NS&amp;NI) practice, based from the Stockton office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a talented individual looking to take the next step in their career and take responsibility for projects from inception through to completion. You will be an established Project Manager within the infrastructure sector; this role offers the chance to develop your career and expand your experiences across a wide range of challenging and exciting projects across varied markets. The position is likely to combine agile working from our NS&amp;NI offices with time at client offices and sites. Our need to recruit comes from the success of our division and our pipeline and expected growth within the Northern regions across a variety of sectors. A role within the Infrastructure PDP offers the opportunity to work on the full suite of projects AtkinsRéalis delivers; be it refurbishment and new build projects; nuclear new build, defence, water, D&amp;B projects and many more, which will enable you to demonstrate and progress your project management skills, knowledge and experience. You are likely to have several years of multi-disciplinary infrastructure project delivery experience, ideally from within a consultancy environment. Working with the support of the PDP team, you will be responsible for delivering schemes to budget and programme through RIBA Stages 0-7 (or the sector equivalent) and be the main point of contact with our clients on these projects. Your Purpose: <ul><li>Delivery of project management and contract administration through the project life cycle. Ensuring that there is a common understanding of requirements and scope, programme, costs, constraints, risk and interfaces across the team.</li><li>Leading the project team - building, motivating, maintaining, coaching, guiding, and developing the team.</li><li>Communicating, liaising, and engaging with the client on a project-by-project basis.</li><li>Deliver governance arrangements for projects within corporate and business policies, directives, guidance, and procedures to ensure a robust outcome.</li><li>Ensure safety is prioritised throughout delivery.</li><li>Manage the project within client and AtkinsRéalis agreed budgets.</li><li>Management of Risk (and Opportunity) for the project from inception through to completion.</li><li>Administer and negotiate change control from inception through to completion.</li><li>Manage approved sub-contractor procurement processes.</li><li>Clear and accurate monitoring and reporting of project performance against programme, technical quality, financial and KPI targets; both internally and externally.</li><li>Mentoring and developing of Assistant Project Managers and other team members, as required.</li><li>Cognisant delivery of projects and tasks in accordance with the AtkinsRéalis Values; Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation and Excellence.</li></ul> What you can bring: <ul><li>An Engineering background, with design management, project management and contract administration experience.</li><li>Experience in a Project Management position.</li><li>Experience of managing design projects or assisting in the management of projects from inception to completion.</li><li>Experience of working closely with multi-disciplinary design teams.</li><li>Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Demonstrate a proactive and flexible working attitude, is adaptable and responds positively in response to challenges APM PMQ (or equivalent) recognised level of competence in Project Management - desirable.</li><li>Understands and has experience in deploying various forms of construction contract, in particular NEC3 or 4 and/or bespoke forms of contract.</li><li>Experience of working closely with multi-disciplinary design teams.</li><li>Strong client facing and customer service skills, with the ability to understand clients' requirements.</li><li>Ability to lead a delivery team in a positive and confident manner, demonstrating an appropriate level of knowledge, skills and attitude.</li></ul> Why work for AtkinsRéalis?
