Job Title: Pipefitter
Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun – Based on site and must be able to attend a recruitment day in Glasgow
Salary: £38,662.00 (additional shift allowance of 33% may be applicable)

What you’ll be doing: 
<ul>
<li>Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni, carbon steel and stainless steel)</li>
<li>Using a range of hand tools &amp; mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes as well as installation of pipework.</li>
<li>Installing utilities aboard ship i.e. sinks, showers, and toilets</li>
<li>Install and assemble fittings, valves, and related components according to drawings and specifications.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other trades to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.</li>
<li>Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all times</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of work carried out</li>
</ul>
Your skills and experiences:
Essential :
<ul>
<li>Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (you will be required to provide these papers) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City &amp; Guilds, or equivalent)</li>
<li>Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture, installation, and use of associated equipment</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications</li>
<li>Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH and Risk Assessments</li>
<li>Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar within an industrial or commercial environment</li>
</ul>
Desirable :
<ul>
<li>Marine Pipefitting Experience</li>
<li>Experience in industrial or commercial settings preferred</li>
<li>Understanding of manufacturing processes</li>
<li>Experience in TIG Pipe Welding </li>
</ul>

The Pipefitter team:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our team in Clyde. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing piping systems across a range of projects in the defence sector. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of piping installations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
